    Hello, for the Komfort Zone Kit with a TV near the window. Does the "Komfort Zone Kit" fan auto turn on when the fire place it turned on? Is the "Komfort Zone Kit" just to get the TV close to the window or is ment to put heat into the home?

    Glad to say after lusting over my neighbors Yoder, I finally got one. This Yoder YS1500S, I have thrown virtually everything at it for the last month. The quality of the cook did not disappoint. You can purchase a 500 or 1000 or $2000 smoker in the end one must have the pony up to understand what they’ve been missing in taste and texture.🇺🇸

    Another caution with this grill… I was cooking on it recently and it began to rain. Although I had the red plugs in the meat probe holes, somehow water got into one of the probe receptacles, and triggered a high temp reading, causing the grill to shut down and go into a warming mode. I am investigating a way to prevent this, short of having to build a patio cover over the grill, but that might be cheaper than the grill itself, ha.

  • @user-it1te9lg2p

    Even on the smoke plus setting, this grill most certainly does not produce more smoke than a GMG or traeger grill. If it’s good smoke you are looking for with this grill, get a smoke tube, or better yet, use a charcoal grill with wood chunks, or a stick burner. However, this grill seems to be very well made and is beautiful.

      Hello! There's a number of reasons why the ignitor may not be working. Power supply failure, low gas pressure, clogged burner ports, improper air shutter adjustment, ignitor switch malfunction, etc. In the owners manual there is a trouble shooting section that can help depending on the issue. www.americanoutdoorgrill.com/professionals/catalog-and-manuals/

    Is the sear burner adjusted tot he lower temperature comparable to the regular gas burners temperature? In other words, if you have one grill area with the regular burner and one with the sear burner, can you function normally compared to all regular burners? You would not burn the food or be hampered if you don’t need the sear burner every time?

    • @GilbertFireplacesBBQs
      @GilbertFireplacesBBQs 5 місяців тому

      Thanks for the question! The sear burner does have turn down ability. However, the lowest temperature you can bring it to is still going to be over the 400 degree mark and infrared heat does cook differently than the radiant heat you will be cooking with from the other burners. Meaning, if you were to set the standard burner to a setting that would achieve a 400 degree temperature and you do the same for the sear burner, you will notice that the food over the sear burner will still cook faster, as infrared heat heats up objects and surfaces better than radiant heat. We tend to see many of our customers opt to go with the 42" size with the sear zone so that they have sufficient standard grilling space outside of the sear zone.

    • @deanbrandon3615
      @deanbrandon3615 5 місяців тому

      @@GilbertFireplacesBBQs Thanks, makes sense to go with the 42 inch Hestan and get the sear for one burner; but I am thinking of the 36 or even the 30 inch, so I will likely go with all regular burners.

      It holds the heat evenly across the entire surface. The other griddles whether stainless steel or cast iron (ex blackstone) have hot and cooler areas. Why I am going with this one. Also, I don't like the work needed to keep a cast iron griddle seasoned and cleaned. Too much trouble for me. You should read comments from LeGriddle owners before you assume your premise is correct.

    • @Scott-rf5ux
      @Scott-rf5ux 5 місяців тому

      @@nighthawk_predator1877 My "premise" is not an opinion -- it is science. People may like their LeGriddles, and they may find them to retain heat evenly. But it is a fact that cast iron is a poor conductor of heat.

    • @nighthawk_predator1877
      @nighthawk_predator1877 4 місяці тому

      @@Scott-rf5ux Actually your original comment suggesting evenness of cooking is "bogus" is what is wrong with your premise. You start out saying cast iron is a poor conductor of heat. Yes it is. However, once the cast iron reaches desired temp, it maintains that temp and ensures even temps without cold spots. You can have your premise that it's a poor conductor of heat and yet you want to disagree (your original statement) about the "premise you're pushing regarding evenness is bogus" Both things can be true at the same time. Science isn't the issue here but what your intrepretation of science leads you to conclude is the problem.The cast iron plate underneath the stainless steel is what makes this griddle ensure evenness of temp and across the entire cooking area. Cast iron being a poor conductor of heat is irrelevant.
